Maxime Franchi & Mehdi Jaccaud

Maxime Franchi, Cantonal Fire Brigade Inspector for the canton of Neuchâtel, and Mehdi Jaccaud, President of the Vaud Fire Brigade Federation, look back on their collaboration with Inox Communication on the 118 Suisse romande project. The aim of this project was to federate the various ECAs and relevant bodies in the cantons of Vaud, Fribourg, Neuchâtel and Jura around a common brand, in order to promote the activities and recruitment of volunteer firefighters.

Maxime Franchi: “Inox was approached with a project to promote firefighting in companies. The approach initially came from Neuchâtel. So I was looking for a communications company with knowledge of the Neuchâtel area. The agency was then able to present its vision to the Latin conference of cantonal inspectors, who endorsed the project and decided to support it on a wider scale.

"Inox has a skilled team, ready to travel, and able, through its network, to draw on resources complementary to its own to implement the strategy it proposes."

We are 4 cantons in which, until now, the promotion of volunteer firefighters has been carried out using 4 different approaches. The aim was to place our trust in a professional communications company, so that we all spoke the same language, with the same voice. That's why we entrusted this mandate to Inox. What helped us in our choice was that the agency is not only based in Neuchâtel, but is also active in the canton of Vaud and elsewhere. It's a competent team, ready to travel, and able, through its network, to seek out resources complementary to its own to implement the strategy it proposes.

Inox opened up communication approaches that we didn't have, that we were far from, the idea that we could speak to our target in a different way, in particular by highlighting the human values on which our business is based.”

Mehdi Jaccaud: “The Fédération vaudoise des sapeurs-pompiers used to run its own recruitment day, in collaboration with ECA Vaud (the canton's fire and natural elements insurance institution). We were able to pass on this experience to the other cantons involved in the project, while benefiting from Inox's communications expertise.

The agency's team was - and still is - available, able to use language that everyone could understand, and to provide effective tools for exchange and validation. We're getting straight to the point, and things are progressing well. This collaboration has enabled us to move our campaigns from amateurism to professionalism, with a wider network of skills at our disposal. Above all, it has enabled us to unite several cantons around a common cause.”
